"Serious Explorations" Colorado Colors Run 2000
Ouray, Colorado

After taking in the beauty of Ophir pass, group one ended up in Telluride.  We made it through town in time to see group two coming down the scariest part of Black Bear, the switch backs.  Since everyone in group two had some amount a lift, none of them could see the turns over their hoods.  Serious pucker factor.  I was shooting with my 300mm zoom as this was as close as I could get.

There's a great house perched up there and it seems a few folks ignored the one-way rule on Black Bear so they could get up to see it.  It made for a nice traffic jam.
Here's the house, with its own waterfall.
Below, I've digitally zoomed in as best I could.  I'm not sure if the labels are right.
After we ooh'ed and ah'ed for a while group one headed on up Imogene Pass.  A little way up, we got a much better view of the switch backs on Black Bear.
