SAXTON ROAD

Try as he might, BamBam just couldn't break through the bank. We rammed and crammed that snow for about 15 minutes, but after four tries we couldn't get more than 20 yards into the bank.
You can't fault those good ol' Pirelli tires. They dug and dug until, after each run, BamBam ended up sitting on his undercarriage in the snow.

On the way back down the trail, Matt offered to stay behind and get a good group shot of the rest of us on the switchbacks. This is what 5 miles of road looks like when you cram it into 1 mile of mountain.

On one of the switchbacks, there is a bypass that offers some challenge. It has some moguls and rocks that require a little skill to get through. If you pick a really bad line, you can get some good suspension flex and even lift a tire. Obviously, Jen's spotters did not choose the easy line for her. She got several inches of air under that rear tire that she wasn't expecting.
