HACKET GULCH

About midway down the trail there's a very soft, very mogully hill about 75 yards long. It seemed as if someone before us repeatedly buried their 38's and left the craters for us to deal with. Getting down was not a problem. The problem was getting down without hitting any of the half dozen trees that hugged both sides. With Danny's expert spotting and BamBam's very impressive performance, we made it down just fine.

The glare makes it a bit hard to see, but yes, that tire is hanging about ten inches above the bottom of that crater. The calm expression on the driver's face in no way shows his true emotions. (I was freaking out!)

You will never convince me that a stock Explorer can't flex. I was just starting to hang the rear wheel here. I'm thinking I need to find and RTI ramp. I want to know just how much flex BamBam has! Check out the angle of the tree trunks. That hill is a lot steeper than these pictures tell.
